The Ultimate Rapunzel Tangled Birthday Party (Decor, Food & Fun!)

When my daughter turned four, she knew exactly what she wanted: a Rapunzel Tangled-themed birthday party. From the pink, purple, and gold décor to the fun themed food, this celebration was straight out of a fairytale. If you’re planning a Tangled party, here’s everything we did to make it feel magical.

Enchanting Tangled Decor

Our home turned into Rapunzel’s tower for the day! We kept everything in pink, purple, and gold—the perfect Tangled color palette.

  • Balloon Arch & Balloon Stands: A whimsical balloon arch framed the main party table, with balloon stands on the sides to make the whole space feel grand and festive.

  • Rapunzel Banner: A Tangled banner hung across the wall and tied the theme together beautifully.

  • Entryway Magic: Right when guests walked in, they saw an entryway table styled with a Rapunzel Barbie doll and a Tangled storybook, making it feel like they were stepping into her world.

Tangled-Themed Party Food

Every snack had a clever Tangled twist! This was such a fun way to keep the theme going and make kids excited to eat.

  • “Max’s Apples” – a nod to Maximus, Rapunzel’s trusty horse.

  • “Rapunzel’s Paint Brushes” – chocolate-dipped rice crispy treats on popsicle sticks. They looked just like paint brushes and were a huge hit!

  • “Rapunzel’s Braids” – soft pretzels braided together to mimic Rapunzel’s long hair.

  • “Golden Flower Drink” – refreshing lemonade served in clear cups with gold straws.

  • “Flynn’s Pizza” – because what kids’ party is complete without pizza? This was a big crowd-pleaser.

  • Rapunzel Cake & Cupcakes – our dessert table featured a Rapunzel-themed cake surrounded by cupcakes topped with pink and purple swirls. It was the perfect sweet ending!

The Princess Experience

After the kids had filled up on all the themed snacks, the real magic arrived: Rapunzel herself! We hired a princess entertainer to bring the fairytale to life, and it was the highlight of the day.

She kept the kids enchanted with:

  • Face Painting – each child got a special design, from flowers to suns, inspired by the Tangled story.

  • Dancing & Singing – everyone twirled and laughed to princess songs, making the party feel like a real royal ball.

  • Storytime with Rapunzel – she read from a Tangled book, capturing the kids’ attention and bringing the story to life.

  • Treasure Box Fun – the princess brought a treasure chest filled with little Tangled-themed goodies, so each child got to pick out a magical “treasure” to take home.

It wasn’t just entertainment—it made the whole party feel like a fairytale adventure.

Tangled-Inspired Crafts

One of my favorite parts of the party was our craft station. I wanted something hands-on that the kids could enjoy between activities, and it turned out to be such a hit!

We set out a table with different Tangled-themed craft supplies—coloring sheets, stickers, and simple DIY activities. But the most special craft of all was decorating floating lanterns. Each child got to design their own paper lantern with stickers, markers, and glitter.

For the birthday princess, we made her lantern extra special, and when it was done, she held it up proudly just like Rapunzel in the movie. It was a sweet and memorable moment that tied the whole theme together.

Candy-Free Party Favors

To end the celebration on a high note, we gave out candy-free party favors that the kids (and parents!) loved. Instead of sending everyone home with more sugar, I curated practical and fun little treasures that still felt magical and on-theme.

The kids were thrilled to open their bags, and the parents appreciated that it wasn’t just more candy. It was the perfect way to wrap up the day with something special everyone could enjoy.

The Birthday Magic

With Rapunzel playing in the background, balloons everywhere, themed food that had everyone smiling, and a princess leading storytime and dancing, this party truly felt like a dream come true. My daughter couldn’t stop smiling, and that’s how I knew it was the perfect celebration.

If you’re throwing a Tangled birthday party, just remember: it’s the little details that bring the magic to life.
